This year marks the seventieth anniversary of the founding of the Bruton Art Society, established in 1953 by Mrs Joy Barnes who trained at Chelsea School of Art, where Henry Moore was her tutor for sculpture and Graham Sutherland for illustration. Since then the Society has held an Annual Exhibition in the town of Bruton
